2022 - the year travelling returns?

Making the decision to move to a new country is an exciting but daunting one, and moving

during a global pandemic adds another element of anxiety to the whole process! To some, it may have seemed like a strange decision to do it when we did, but the timing was right for us. We also believe the pent up demand for travel could perfectly coincide with the launch of the first part of our business in 2022.

In 2020, I was lucky enough to make it out to Portugal for a month long trip. Despite the UK government popping it on various lists which meant quarantine was required, I managed to avoid the need for that and had very surreal experiences on both the outbound and return flights with only a few passengers on-board. It felt very safe, and while travel in 2020 wasn't for everyone, I felt a month in our hideaway was important for the soul and the mind after a tough few months.

We are based in the Algarve which has had a relatively low rate of infection, but people have still lost loved ones; some businesses have closed, and certain rules and restrictions continue to be in place. There can be a lot of frustrations when you're travelling with the dreaded passenger locator forms and complicated testing procedures which seem to change on a weekly basis, but we believe it's all worth it when you arrive at your destination and see the sunshine.

The weather; the scenery; the cycling; the fabulous food and drink; and the culture. We can't recommend it highly enough if you are able to travel under the restrictions and we guarantee you won't regret it!
