One of the things we love the most are the vivid colours that you see in everyday life out here in Portugal. Whether it be the white buildings against a stunning blue sky, or the beautiful pinks or reds of the local flowering plants.
We had a funny moment recently on one of our weekend walks where we took the photo below and realised when we got back and looked at it on our laptop that it looks fake! As you may have seen on our social media accounts, we promise there was no photo shopping whatsoever!
Over the years, we became so accustomed to dark grey days in the UK and it's taking our eyes by surprise that everything is so bright here even at this time of the year!
We love the fact we can't leave the house without our sunglasses, because the sun shines so often and even if the day starts a bit cloudy, by late morning it's usually back to blue. The light and brightness that surrounds daily life out here is just magical - reason No.762 to live in the Algarve!
