December delight!

Regular readers of our blog will know that one of our favourite activities is to take a long walk along the stunning cliffs of the Algarve. There is nothing quite like it, and no matter how many times you do it.....the scenery still blows you away!

As December unfolds, we have been hearing stories from our family in the UK telling us how rubbish the weather has been. Other friends have been stranded in the snow in Germany...that feels a million miles from the sun-kissed coast of Portugal!

At the weekend, we had temperatures of 20 degrees and clear blue skies, so we decided to go from the trig point above Praia da Luz to take a walk along the rugged cliffs, and look down on the azure waters in the warmth of Portugal's winter sun.

This vantage point offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, as the path winds along the cliff edges, offering stunning vistas of the ocean below; revealing hidden coves, and natural rock formations that have been shaped by centuries of wind and waves.

A cliff walk from the trig point in Praia da Luz is an unforgettable experience, so if you're in this part of the Algarve; you should lace up your hiking boots, embrace the mild Portuguese winter, and discover the untamed beauty of the coastal paths of the Algarve.
